The new social pedagogue of our school came to our pupils to introduce herself, her work, and encouraged them to seek for her help if they feel they need it. During her visit in the class she offered to our 6thgraders “Anger control game” – a game that fosters emotional upbringing of children and promotes to build awareness and shows practically how to solve stressful situations at home and at school. The game offers various problem solving strategies. It also promotes children’s communication skills, ability to understand social situations, independently make socially acceptable decisions in order to help themselves or their peers. It consists of different sets of cards. One set of cards has various problems on them. Another set of cards offer various solutions to problems. The social pedagogue selected one card with a problem but pupils had to find the best solution to the problem from the other set of cards.
